My name is Wilkim Sedrick Tan. I have been interested in telling stories at a young age and my passion for storytelling enabled me to push through and pursue a career in film making. I have told stories through various mediums like simple animations and school video projects.
I have been practicing videography part time for the past 3 years and I started by producing promotional videos and other marketing materials for EXIT Canada. Since then, I have taken part in other projects ranging from promotional videos, pre-wedding videos, event coverage and training videos. I have also been honing my skills by producing my own passion projects, in the form of short travel films, as a way for me to experiment with various techniques and help me perfect my craft.
I completed BCIT's Video Production and Editing program and I am skilled in numerous fields which includes directing, video and photo editing, cinematography, photography and motion graphics. I am also skilled in using Adobe's Creative Cloud Suite of apps (primarily Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom Classic). I am also a confident drone pilot with Transport Canada’s RPAS Pilot Basic Operations Certificate. I am planning to pursue Transport Canada’s RPAS Pilot Advance Operations Certificate in the near future.
